Finance or analytics?
Finance focuses on business performance, investment decisions and financial controls. Analytics asks how data can improve decisions. Review the quantitative prerequisites and assignments: a module title alone does not reveal how much spreadsheet work, statistics or coding you will do.
Marketing or human resources?
Marketing combines customer understanding, positioning, campaigns and measurement. Human resources covers people processes, organisational development and employee relations. Match your preference with actual tasks from relevant job descriptions.
Operations or general management?
Operations examines delivery, quality, capacity and supply chains. General management provides breadth across functions. If you are early in your career, breadth can be useful; if you already know your function, specialist projects may help you demonstrate deeper capability.
Test your shortlist
Read several current job descriptions, identify repeated skill requirements and map them to the syllabus. Ask for a sample assignment and capstone brief. A specialisation can support your development but does not guarantee a job title or salary.
Your next step
Choose three options, collect current official documents and write down any questions you cannot answer. Make your final decision from programme-specific evidence.
